• High strength and rigidity at mouth temperature
• Wide softening range above mouth temperature
• Easily moundable in the softened state,without flaking,cracking or tearing
• There should be low thermal contraction
• Easily carvable at room temperature without flaking or chipping
• There should be little change in properties on melting and re-solidification
• There should be no residue on boiling out
